ARGH!
So not a fan.
So not a fan.
I unfortunately have to drive down to Williamsburg today for a freaking 1 hour meeting. Argh. So…I will be driving about an hour, to go to an hour meeting, and turning around driving BACK for another hour. Then I will be running. I’m not looking forward to this afternoon AT ALL! And seriously, the weather is kind of scary outside. It’s all dark and dreary and raining and windy (it’s kind of like the set of a bad scary movie). So…I would like the sun to come out now.
I was really lazy this weekend. The only cleaning I did was to gather up all the trash and put it in a trashbag. I put it by the door so I could take it to the dumpster on my way out this morning. Yeah…I forgot. I literally had to climb OVER the trashbag to get out the front door…and I somehow just didn’t even think to take it with me. And it wasn’t like I was not in the mood to take it…I just didn’t really notice it was there waiting to be taken. Can I say…I’m turning into my father? Seriously. How did I not see a big trashbag I had to STEP OVER??? Craziness.
I did rent the last Lord of the Rings movie (thus completing the trilogy I had started over the long weekend and ran out of time before I could finish). These movies are so good. But you have to invest so much time and energy just watching them! I always feel kind of tired after watching the last one…it’s just so draining. But while I’m rambling about these movies…Mom…you had BEST be watching that movie this week or I will be highly irritated. Since I couldn’t take it with me since you were DEFINITELY going to be watching it. Whatever
I also watched The Golden Compass. This movie did really badly here (in the US) but did amazingly overseas. Which is sad, I think it’s actually a REALLY good movie. I want them to make the rest of the movies (I want to know what happens!). Yes, I realize I could just read the books…but it’s not the same. Unfortunately, the plot of the movie was probably way too advanced for most kids to follow, but it was targeted at a children’s audience so most adults didn’t want to see it. (But when have I ever let a movie made for kids keep me from seeing it :-P). But yeah, I definitely enjoyed it. And it was one of the very few movies I’ve EVER liked Nicole Kidman in. So if you like whole epic story type of movie you should watch it (just remember it was definitely made for kids…so it’s a lot more simpler than a LOTR movie or anything llike that).
I also started making the pirate golf club covers for J, and amazingly, I’m not having any problems with the colorwork like I thought I would (yay me!), however, I’m really worried they are going to be way too small. The top part doesn’t seem very stretchy. So…I decided I would make one and then have her try it on over the club to see if it fits. I’m hoping it will at least fit a smaller one, and then I can try and use larger needles or something to make the other ones. I guess we’ll see. However, the pink and white sparkly pirates look awesome So that’s at least a plus.
